Incentivated will launch a location-based mobile video campaign to promote The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
It’s teamed up with digital agency 20:20 London to deliver a campaign for Virgin 1 to promote the TV series ‘Terminators: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’. The promotion uses location-based technology, and merges names and numbers to create a personalised video.
Participants input their friend’s number into a website (www.terminate-a-mate.com). The friend is then sent an SMS warning that terminators are nearby; if they give permission for their location to be revealed by their network, a personalised video featuring their name, mobile number and a map of their location is delivered to their handset. This video simulates the Terminators hacking onto the handset.
