Froggie launches push video calling
Spanish content provider and marketer Froggie has launched a video calling push service.
The solution automates video calls to users and, if they pick up, its streams them a video clip. The user can then respond using and IVR menu to watch more video or interact in some other way with the video message. For example if the video call push was made for a car manufacturer, the user could be asked to press; ‘one’ to request a test drive; ‘two’ to receive an SMS with the address of their local dealer; ‘three’ to leave a video of their opinion on the car, and so on.
Froggie says customers simply upload mobile numbers to the system along with their promotional video, and press send. The system then attempts a video call to the numbers and, if they have 3G, the call goes through.
Calls that don't connect aren't charged for – so there’s an added bonus that clients can discover for free who of their customers are using 3G phones.
Tom Horsey, MD of Froggie, said: “It’s a simple system to install and operate, and yet it presents so many opportunities to promote mobile services. Our existing customers tell us the ROI from the promotions launched to date has been outstanding.”
The solution is available for most international territories and at €0.35 for a 20 second spot.
