Mobile users tune into radio
Mobile is saving the radio star, says new research from TNS Global Technology.
Its new study reveals that mobile radio listening was up 140 per cent, while the use of the mobile as an mp3 player increased 78 per cent. It found that in markets like India, a mobile phone without FM radio is difficult to sell.
In Latin America and Asia, 45 per cent of users said an AM/FM radio is one of the top features they are looking for when purchasing a mobile, outranking SMS, internet access and camera.
