Mobifusion inks deal with Penguin Books

Mobile media solutions provider Mobifusion announced it will partner with Penguin Books India, Asia's largest English-language publisher, to make a range of Penguin content available via mobile handsets. Mobifusion will launch the Penguin service with content from three popular spiritual titles--Jaya Chaliha and Edward Le Joly's The Joy in Loving: A Guide to Daily Living with Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama's The Path to Tranquility and Renuka Narayanan's The Book of Prayer--and while the partnership will at first focus on the Indian subscriber population, the firms are planning an international rollout in the months ahead. "At Penguin we see mobile technology as a hugely exciting global opportunity, not just as a means of widening access to our content, but also as a way to meet the growing consumer demand for personalized content and services," said the publisher's global digital director Genevieve Shore in a prepared statement.
