Search-To-Phone Takes Investment From Gold Systems For Local Search

Boulder, CO-based Search-To-Phone, a provider of mobile directory assistance, has taken an unspecified investment from Gold Systems, a provider of enterprise communications technology. It has also taken investments from VCs Brad Feld and Jared Polis. Search-To-Phone is a alum of the TechStars program, a YCombinator-like startup boot camp based in Colorado. The service allows users to search for local merchants using an automatic voice-based system, which then connects the user to the found results. In this respect it sounds similar to Google's (NSDQ: GOOG) voice-based directory efforts. Additionally, the company plans with search engines to add a Search-To-Phone button to their sites. With the investment, Search-To-Phone and Gold Systems will partner on technology issues. Release.
