Yahoo's big widget push

Yahoo! is set to launch many new widgets in Europe accessible across its mobile apps.

Within the next two months, European users in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK will be able to access localised services from new mobile widget development partners including:
 
·         Eurosport – Football– the number one news source for European football coverage;
·         Xing – a professional networking site
·         eBay – the world’s largest online auction marketplace
·         MySpace – the social networking site

·         Dopplr – an innovative application for keeping track of friends
 
Yahoo! Mobile Widgets will be accessible via devices that support the new Yahoo! Go 3.0 client or the recently redesigned Yahoo! mobile home page. The company expects to increase the number of compatible devices and to roll out internationally.
