Mobile Email Provider Synchronica Raises $3.9 Million

Mobile email and synchronization services provider Synchronica has raised an $3.9 million in its second round of funding, bringing the total investment into the company to $7.5 million. Synchronica says it plans to use the money to fund its push into emerging markets with its mobile email and backup products, and will be used specifically to expand the company's sales and support in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. The company has two main products, Mobile Gateway which enables operators to offer push email and Mobile Backup which backs up and restore service for personal information stored on devices.
